On Thursday, May 29, 2025, an introductory guidance session on becoming a civil servant was held at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus, hosted by the Student Services Division Career Support Center.
At this guidance session, Taku Matsuno from Ohara Gakuen, who is a Senior Assistant Professor for the "Civil Service General Education I & II" course offered at Hachioji Campus, will be speaking to students at the university who are interested in working in the civil service, explaining the different types of civil servants, their job titles, the examination system, salary structures, and more.
On the day, 84 students from 1st to 4th year participated, and they were given a wide-ranging explanation of the work of a public servant, including the differences between national and local government positions, exam methods, work content, salary structure, and whether or not there are transfers. After the guidance, many participants asked Mr. Matsuno questions, showing the enthusiasm of the students. Going forward, faculty and staff at Hachioji Campus will continue to support and assist each student in making a career choice that satisfies them.
