On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, the Embassy of Portugal in Japan, which was instrumental in concluding the MOU (International Exchange Agreement) between Teikyo University and University of Coimbra (Portugal) in August 2024, held a ceremony at the Embassy to celebrate the connection between the two universities.
At the ceremony, a research presentation on the history of friendly relations between Japan and Portugal was given by students from our Hachioji Campus, followed by a practical training session on emergency medical care by the ACLS Study Group of Teikyo University. Afterwards, video messages were played from Professor Jo?o Nuno Calv?o da Silva, Vice President University of Coimbra, and His Excellency Makoto Ota, Ambassador of the Japanese Embassy in Portugal. Finally, our university's Chairman and President Yoshihito Okinaga handed over a letter of appreciation to His Excellency Gilberto Jorge de Sousa JER?NIMO, Ambassador of the Portuguese Embassy in Japan, and the staff of the embassy, along with words of gratitude.
Our university will continue to work towards furthering exchanges with University of Coimbra and deepening ties between Japan and Portugal.
